What Is Earthworking?

It has nothing to do with excavation or mining. Earthworking is a personal journey of healing—a return to who you are at your core.

It weaves together plant wisdom, energy work, and spiritual communion with elemental allies. It invites you to reconnect with your inner power, work with Nature, and reclaim the magic that’s always been within you.

I was given the word Earthworking six years ago—and since then, I’ve been walking a spiral path home through grief, healing, shadow, roots, and the deep quiet of sacred return. I remembered how to speak to trees and plants, how to feel the Earth’s vibrations, and how to work with healing energies I had long forgotten.

The Earth Is Speaking—Are We Listening?

Feelings of disconnection from Nature, from each other, and from spiritual grounding are becoming more and more common. Many people feel uncertain about their purpose, struggle with intuition, or feel overwhelmed by their sensitivity to energy. And even those who are deeply connected to the Earth may feel unsure of how to truly help in the face of environmental change.

Earthworking reminds us of the Earth’s supportive, nurturing presence. Through meditation, journaling, and mindful time in nature, we can rediscover that connection – and strengthen our ties to our Soul, to the Earth, and to a like-minded community that shares this sacred bond.

When you nurture Nature, she nurtures you right back. Trees are excellent listeners – and secret keepers – and yes, they even give hugs. Sometimes you’ll feel them wrap you in warm, comforting energy. Other times, they’ll hug you with their actual branches.

Check out the hug I got from Henrietta, the honeysuckle. I’ve been caring for since she was just a twig. Have you ever been hugged by a tree?

Earthworking Is Healing for Both Sides

The more I work with Mother Earth, the more peaceful, grounded, and restored I feel. Rather than draining me, this work fills me up. I’ve had moments where dormant trees awakened just to comfort me as I cared for them in their winter stillness.

Earthworking is reciprocal. It’s not a rescue mission – it’s a relationship. When you offer healing to the Earth, she responds in kind. When you show up for her, she shows up for you.

Why Now?

(And What Happens When We Don’t Listen)

Disconnection from the Earth affects different communities in different ways – but the results are showing up everywhere. Often, we see what’s happening in the environment reflected in our collective emotional state. Or maybe it’s the other way around…

  • Drought and despair.
  • Fires and anger.
  • Floods and grief.

While it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison, it’s happening often enough to notice. This is why so many of us are being called to remember – to return to relationship with the Earth.

This isn’t something new. It’s ancient.

It’s a remembering of who we were when we lived in harmony with the Earth, flowing with her rhythms, honoring our place in the web of life. Those ancient ties are calling us home.

A Gentle Invitation

If Earthworking stirs something in your heart – if remembering your connection to Soul and Earth calls to you – I’d love to invite you to The Remembering, a free 3-Day Earthworking Challenge happening at the end of July.

Together, we’ll explore the Sacred Path of Earthworking through discussion, meditation, journaling, and intuitive practice. We’ll also work with elemental and dragon energies, along with Earth’s own healing frequencies.

If something in this moved you… You’re already being called.

Join me July 29th, 30th, and 31st for The Remembering.

Earthworking is a Sacred Path.

It is an Act of Love.

Will you join me?
