Messages from the Linden Tree for September 2023
September has us embarking on a new adventure, unique to each one of us. Whether it is a spiritual adventure or a physical one, it is sure to create some ripples within social circles.
With several planets in retrograde, along with the change of seasons closing in, those who are sensitive to energy may be feeling a bit off balance. Know that this will pass.
As the harvest season approaches, many have thoughts of abundance at the center of their thoughts. Practical steps are possible – and needed – to shift the momentum.
Denise Linn’s Gateway Oracle Cards, with artwork by Nick C. Welch, have woven an image of what September can look like for you. Will you step through, and see what unfolds?
September’s message:
Theme card: Cultivating Prosperity “The abundance of the Universe is pouring into my life.” – You are ready, you are already receiving the fruits of your labor…you just don’t know it.
Stop doubting yourself and your worthiness. This is what holds you back. Open your heart to believing you deserve all the goodness coming into your life.
Once you truly believe it, and feel it, the energies will shift, doors will open, and things will begin to flow.
1-9 September: Embracing the Future “I step into the future with an open heart.”– Step one for Cultivating Prosperity: Embrace your future. This is not just a mental exercise, it’s also an emotional one. It’s time to look into those corners of your mind and heart to see where you are doubting yourself or where fear is lurking. Identify the doubt, identify the fear, and then take steps to work through these issues. Set aside a few minutes each day to meditate or journal (or both!) about what’s going on. Seek outside help, as well, if needed.
10-16 September: Launching Your Journey “I am an intrepid traveler, sailing forth into the Universe.” – Step two for Cultivating Prosperity: Launch your journey. To launch anything, you need a plan. To have a plan, you need to know what you are looking for. Clarity is important. This week, answer these questions, and see where it takes you. When you have meditated or journaled on them, not what makes you feel really great, versus what leaves you wanting.
- What is something you’ve always wanted to do? Why? What stopped you?
- Where is somewhere you’ve always wanted to go? Why? What stopped you?
- What are you most scared of when you think about changing your life? Why?
- What in your life can prove your fears to be unfounded? Why?
- What common threads are you seeing in your answers? Why do you think that is? What are some things you can do to help take away the fear?
17-23 September: Starting Fresh “A wonderful new beginning is blossoming in my life.” – Step three for Cultivating Prosperity: Take a deep breath. Release it. Take another, hold for a moment, and then release. Close your eyes and do it again. Visualize your dream life. What does it look like? Where are you? Who are you with? What are you doing?
Release the old, and welcome the new. Remember the saying “Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” (André Gide).
While heading into the unknown can be scary, it’s time. It’s time to Start Fresh.
24-30 September: Emerging into Grace “I open my soul to grace.” – Step four for Cultivating Prosperity: Forgiveness with grace, especially for yourself, is something we’re not taught when we’re young, so it’s up to us to learn how to do it when we’re adults.
In a time when perfection is so demanded, however unrealistic it may be, we must realize we are human, and therefore not meant to be perfect.
Be compassionate with yourself, allow yourself to be human. This opens the path to receiving and accepting what God & the Universe has in store for you – all the beaty, abundance, and love.
Yes, you are worthy and deserving of all of this. Accept with grace, even as you give grace to others for the same.
Cultivating Prosperity may seem a daunting prospect for some of you, I get that. Please don’t give up. Sometimes the manifestation of our goals is just around the next corner, so much closer than we realize.
Remember that our journeys are unique to each of us. Don’t compare your journey to other peoples’. Celebrate the joys and accomplishments – even the small ones! – and practice grace and forgiveness for the challenges and mistakes.
“Life is a journey, not a destination.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
