Many of you are now finding your lives changing; you’re coming out of the spiritual closet, and learning to find your unique voice. But, where do you go for inspiration?
8 years ago I found myself at a crossroad. I could continue on with a life I had outgrown, or I could shed the person everyone thought I should be, and re-learn to be me.
It was time for a change.
Since 2010 I have studied energy healing, graduated as a Holistic Health Practitioner, re-affirmed my herbalist roots, and re-connected with my spiritual side through working with Angels and meditation.
Throughout my journey, I have been inspired and encouraged by many people, and am continually exploring new things that come out. I feel blessed to live in a time when there are such wonderful resources available, and connecting with other like minds is as easy as popping over to YouTube or Facebook.
I have also learned over the past few years that what I need appears when I need it, and that my go-to resources change as I change.
This is how it should be.
We always changing – and our resources must change with us. While there are a couple of people have followed since beginning my journey, there have also been many shifts to my list of game-changers.
I will always have so much gratitude for those that lifted me up at a time when my entire world was crashing in. I also celebrate the new teachers coming into my life, and gratefully forge ahead on my own path.
Here are 5 inspirational authors that you may find helpful on your path.
Colette Baron-Reid. I love the earthy, no-fluff approach of this amazing lady. She has seen it all, and inspires others to rise to their potential, regardless of where they are starting out. Not only do I love her tarot & oracle cards, but her book Uncharted has been very influential in my personal journey.
Paolo Coelho. Maybe not a typical choice for a list like this however, he is an incredibly inspirational author, and someone who truly walks an inspired path. His book The Alchemist has influenced me on my path, and I re-read it at least once a year. His books often contain very uplifting messages for the seeker.
Pam Grout. One of the most fun books I’ve read on manifesting is E-Squared, because it verifies and validates many things we may already be doing. This book helps you realize the impact that you truly have on what happens in your life.
Elizabeth Peru. I just got my copy of Cosmic Messengers today, and can hardly put it down! I have followed Elizabeth since 2015, and subscribe to her weekly “Tip-Off”, which I find incredibly helpful. This new book not only gives explanations of the how & why of energetic and physical manifesting, it also gives you exercises you can easily do, to help you connect and grow. I’m excited to sit down and finish it over the next few days.
Don Miguel Ruíz. Most people have heard of the book The Four Agreements. This is another book I like to re-read once a year, because it helps remind me to stay connected with the earth, and everyone on it. It reminds us to honor the commitments we make to ourselves, as well as those to others.
