Welcome to Linden Tree Intuitive, where my goal is to help clients through “Facilitating Finding the Wellness Within”.  Wellness, woo-woo, energy modalities & herbs aside, I am often asked how I decided on the name Linden Tree Intuitive.

Well, I often say that “trees are my people” because I feel the most comfortable and grounded when I am among trees. In my back yard I have forsythia, honeysuckle, beech, maple, mock orange, quince, and black locust. And in my front yard, a Linden tree.

Black locust Robinia pseudoacacia

My black locust is Grandfather Tree, with whom I have had a long, beautiful relationship.  (You can read a guest blog I did on him here).  I wanted to have Grandfather Tree as part of the business name, but “Black Locust Intuitive”, or “Robinia Pseudoacacia Intuitive” just didn’t convey the feeling that I wanted.  Maybe the words locust and pseudo- had something to do with it.

Linden Tree Tilia europeana

As I sat in my yard and thought about it, I heard a voice saying “Me!  Pick me!”  And I realized that Tillie was calling to me.

Tillie is my Linden Tree, a beautiful Tilia americana that was planted for the previous owner by one of our neighbors.

When I heard Tillie speaking to me, I realized just how perfect the Linden Tree was.  Beautiful energy, wonderful herbal qualities, and, incredibly enough, the symbolism was also there. Linden Tree Intuitive. It resonated.

Herbally speaking, Linden blossom is wonderful for stress, anxiety, and insomnia.  Great for fevers, it helps relax the body, allowing the fever to be productive, without suppressing it.  And it’s gentle enough for infants* (in mild-infusion form).

Historically, Linden trees can be tapped in the springtime, just like maple trees.  Their sap, once rendered, gives a light, almost floral, syrup.

Symbolically, the Linden tree has long spiritual history:

  • Love and fidelity in both relationships and for the world. In this association, we find ties not only to the Goddess of Love, but also to the Virgin Mary.  The Linden is about allowing love to bloom and heal yourself and others.  It offers both a gentle and profound healing.  There is also a connection with the Archangel Chamuel, who helps with healing, especially when there is fear, worry, & anxiety.
  • Following your heart and pursuing your dreams. The Linden symbolizes transformation into the person you are destined to be, and helping you to see the potential within yourself.
  • Healing. From the soul level, to healing your heart. Linden trees are about life, death, and transformation. Your transformation through the healing power of love.
  • Joy and bliss. The Linden can help you find the silver lining within your experiences, and how to take those lessons learned and move on.
